Destinations at the NEC
I went to the “Destinations” trade show recently.
This is one of the bigger shows for people interested in travel and tourism, and is sponsored by The Times.
In fact it takes place twice in the early part of the year, firstly at Earls Court in London, and then a few weeks later at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.
This was the NEC version – much more convenient for me, living as I do in Leicester, and of course for the millions of people who live in the Midlands and the North.
Anne came with me this time.
There are some stands from places in Britain – Colchester and the Black Country, for example. But there also stands representing destinations all over the world – Europe, Asia, the Caribbean etc.
Not only that, but there are representatives from hotels, airlines, book and magazine publishers, and even some foods from around the world.
It’s a good show, and is open to the public. Try and go next year.
