Coach Trip to Winchester
I recently led one of my public Coach Trips from Leicester, this time to Winchester.
As always, we set off from St. Margarets Bus Station. We set off down the M1, but soon left the motorway and headed off past Oxford.
On these trips, I always make a stop somewhere for coffee, but rather than motorway services I choose somewhere with some interest to it as well. On this occasion it was The Living Rainforest at Hampstead Norreys.
When we arrived at Winchester, I led the Guided Walk, pointing out lots of places of interest, including the City Mill, Winchester College, the Westgate and of course Winchester Cathedral.
On the return trip, we stopped at Toddington services.
My Visitors Book has such comments as "Colin has great knowledge - well researched", "Had a great day out, enjoyed the walk" and "a most enjoyable trip with a very informative walk".
