Cinema De Lux Lives Up to its Name
My wife Anne and I went to the cinema recently. This doesn`t happen a lot these days, perhaps strangely as I spent many years managing cinemas, in such places as the West End of London, Westcliff, Ramsgate, Halstead and Havant.
We went to the Cinema De Lux, opened in September as part of the innovative Highcross shopping complex in Leicester. We had previously visited the cinema on my birthday, to see "Georgiana", and had been very impressed.
This time, we watched "Role Models". We thoroughly enjoyed the film, even though - or perhaps because - it was totally devoid of any actors with whom we were familiar.
On our previous visit, there had been some technical problems, but these have obviously been ironed out in the meantime.
The seats are comfortable, the foyer and toilets are clean and wholesome, and the staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming.
We were very impressed indeed, and will certainly be going again.
