A Visit to Cambridge
I visited the historic and very attractive city of Cambridge recently.
It was on one of the Coach Trips operated by the Leicester coach company, Woods Coaches. This is the company from whom I hire coaches for my own excursions.
Going on other people`s trips is something I enjoy doing, even though other passengers sometimes think I`m mad. The term "busman`s holiday" tends to be banded about.
I spent a happy three hours exploring the city, where I had not been for many years, and admiring much of the architecture. As you might expect, I popped in several of the churches.
And I`m glad to say I found a very nice teashop, where I partook of coffee and a lovely crumbly scone. It`s called Auntie`s Teashop, is in the shadow of St. Mary the Great Church, and is certainly recommended.
